Terms & Conditions

Pet World ("the Service", "we", "us") lets a person ("you", "a Member") upload photos, videos, voice recordings, and writings of a pet who has passed away ("the Pet"), so that our AI systems can generate ongoing social-media-style posts, images, video, and comment replies written and voiced as if from the Pet. The Service is intended as a private, invite-only space for grieving family and friends. It is not a substitute for grief counseling, and it does not claim to be the actual animal.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit a registration for a Pet.
• The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you invite a minor as a family member, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental/guardian consent.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• The account that first registers a Pet's profile ("the Primary Account" for that profile) is responsible for managing who else can join, and is the only account that can permanently delete that profile.

When you register a Pet, you will be asked to upload photos, videos, voice recordings, and/or writings, and to describe their personality. By submitting this material, you represent and warrant that:

1. You have the right to do so. You are the Pet's owner, a member of the Pet's family, or the Pet's authorized caretaker with the right to control use of their name, image, likeness, and voice — or you own the material, or have permission from whoever does.
2. You have obtained any consents needed from other family members who shared ownership or care of the Pet before uploading material about them, and you are not aware of any dispute among family members over the right to do so.
3. You consent, on behalf of yourself and to the best of your knowledge on behalf of the Pet's owner and family, to our use of this material to generate AI images, video, text, and synthesized voice depicting or sounding like the Pet, for display only to the family members you or other Primary Accounts invite to that profile. Biometric identifiers (facial and voice data) extracted from this material are handled as described in our Biometric Information Privacy Policy.
4. You will not upload material depicting anyone else without that person's consent, and you will not use the Service to recreate the likeness or voice of a living person without their explicit, informed consent.

INDEMNIFICATION: IF A THIRD PARTY — INCLUDING ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER OR CO-HEIR — BRINGS A CLAIM AGAINST US ARISING FROM YOUR BREACH OF THE REPRESENTATIONS ABOVE (FOR EXAMPLE, DISPUTING YOUR AUTHORITY TO UPLOAD OR USE THE PET'S LIKENESS), YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD US, OUR AFFILIATES, AND OUR THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS HARMLESS FROM THE RESULTING CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, AND REASONABLE EXPENSES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES).

We reserve the right to reject or remove a registration or any content if we reasonably believe it was submitted without appropriate rights or consent, or that it violates these Terms.

• All posts, images, video, and comment replies attributed to the Pet are AI-generated approximations, produced by our systems (and reviewed by our operators before publishing) based on the material and personality description you provided. They are not, and do not claim to be, communications from the actual pet.
• AI generation is imperfect. Generated content may not perfectly reflect the Pet's real personality, opinions, or manner of speaking, and may occasionally be inaccurate, generic, or produce an unwanted result. You can request a post or reply be revised or removed at any time via the reporting tools in the product.
• We use third-party AI providers (for example, image, video, and language-model providers) to generate this content. Material you upload may be transmitted to these providers solely to produce your content; see our Privacy Policy for details.

• Primary Accounts may invite family members by email, subject to plan limits.
• Each invited family member sets their own relationship to the Pet when they join — this is independent of how the Primary Account or any other family member described their own relationship.
• Family members may comment, reply, like, and tag other family members on a Pet profile's posts. Only the Primary Account can remove family members or delete the profile.

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person, or misuse the Service to create content depicting a living person without consent;
• Upload unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or violent content;
• Use the Service to harass, bully, or target the Pet's family, friends, or any third party;
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or resell generated content or other members' data;
• Circumvent plan limits, security measures, or access controls.

Members can report any post, comment, or reply they did not author. Reports are reviewed by our operators, who may remove content, request changes, or suspend an account that repeatedly violates these Terms. See the in-product reporting flow for the list of report categories.

A Primary Account may request permanent deletion of a Pet profile at any time. Deletion is immediate: all posts, comments, replies, and uploaded source material (photos, videos, voice recordings, and letters) for that profile are permanently deleted right away and cannot be recovered. Family members who are not the Primary Account may request deletion, which notifies the Primary Account but does not delete the profile themselves.

Free, Pro, and Max plans differ in how many Pet profiles you may register, how many family members may be invited per profile, and how many posts and direct-message credits are included, as shown in the product. Pro and Max are recurring monthly subscriptions, billed through LemonSqueezy, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction. You may cancel a subscription at any time from Account → Plan; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then — we don't prorate or refund the unused portion of a billing period when you cancel. Direct-message credit packs (Account → Credits) are one-time purchases; a pack that hasn't yet been used can be refunded on request, but credits already spent on a generated reply cannot be, since that reply has already been delivered. Beyond that, refunds are handled by LemonSqueezy, as merchant of record, in accordance with its own terms of sale and any consumer-protection rights that apply in your jurisdiction (for example, statutory withdrawal periods in the EU/UK) — request one directly through LemonSqueezy's Order Support at lemonsqueezy.com.

The Service and all AI-generated content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for emotional distress, dissatisfaction with generated content's accuracy or tone, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. You may close your account at any time; closing your account does not automatically delete Pet profiles you are a family member (non-Primary) of.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify Members of material changes before they take effect.
